Seller's Scoop

  • View: The best view is in the living room in the mornings. You sit halfway in the trees and the birds and squirrels are very active in the mornings. The roof at sunset is beautiful as well.
  • Room: Living room or the roof. Or entertaining in the kitchen/bar area.
  • Tree: Azaleas in the front yard.
  • Walk: There is an amazing trail head right near the entrance of the neighborhood. We hike there often. The park in Spruce Pine offers an easier walk if needed.
  • Hike: There is a trailhead at the entrance of the neighborhood. As well as many more around Spruce Pine.
  • Breakfast: DT's or Fox and the Fig for breakfast. Both have awesome coffee and breakfast.
  • Lunch: Little Switzerland Cafe or Hef's
  • Dinner: Gastro Pub
  • Pub/Winery: Birdfoot in Burnsville for the best pub. Cool place.
  • Living Here Has Been: Living in our home has been magical and a once in a lifetime opportunity that not many get to experience. Who can actually say that they've lived in an underground house? It's cool. Living in the mountain and halfway in the trees has been a wonderful thing for us. Windy days are especially awesome because the trees dance, but you're protected from the wind on the front porch. You also get to hang out on the roof and watch the sunset with your favorite beverage. The front yard is kind of like a Disney movie. The animals are friendly and will come to the window and say hello. If you enjoy that type of thing, leave a snack for them. They appreciate that. We hope you enjoy this space as much as we did. It's special.
