Brevard has a population of 7,645 people. It is the 107th largest community in NC. Brevard is known as the "city of artists" and this lovely community has more artists, designers, and people working in the media than 90% of the communities in America. This concentration of artists help shape this charming mountain towns character. On another note, it is home to the rare white flying squirrel. It is simply a nature lovers paradise. The downtown is also a gateway to exceptional outdoor recreation, connecting to national forest and state forests. This area, located in Transylvania County is known as "Land of the Waterfalls".
