Seller's Scoop

  • View: Waking up to all of the birds sitting outside my windows singing in the trees!
  • Room: Mostly in the sunroom with all the light so we can read, knit or just enjoy. Second favorite is my sewing room
  • Tree: we are privileged to have a "treasured tree" recently recognized with a plaque as Black Gum circa 1880, a really fascinating tree.
  • Walk: we can walk to wonderful restaurants, shops eating places and the post office. Our favorite memories are walking with our lawn chairs to the Holly Jolly Christmas parade and the Fourth of July fireworks.
  • Hike: Behind us is the Black Mountain Greenway which runs beside Flat Creek, a true babbling brook. There are trails all over town for walking and biking. Our Historical society sponsors a unique series of "Rim Walks"
  • Breakfast: Open oven, Seven Sisters Bakery and Dough house provide delicious breakfasts as well as Louises' Kitchen
  • Lunch: Mac's burgers and hot dogs are famous and yummy. Black Mountain Bistro, the Brothers Cuban Restaurant and Trail Head provide all kinds of variety.
  • Dinner: Our favorites for dinner include Black Mountain Bistro, Berliner Kindle German, and Ole Guacamole. There are numerous outdoor venues that are wonderful as well.
  • Pub/Winery: the pubs and breweries are too numerous to mention but our favorite is the Lookout Brewery.
  • Living Here Has Been: Living in our home has been....
Living in our home has been a pleasure the whole way. We will miss having our family all troop down to the creek before burgers and then grabbing chairs to walk down the street to view the fireworks. the few snows we've had are gorgeous and the restaurants in town open so all can get fed. And we'll never replace the wonderful Town Hardware.
