Bellevue Curator: Karen Call

Want to live in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the city Richmond? Look no further than beloved Bellevue. Historically planned to be one of Richmond's first street car suburbs, designed by Lewis Ginter & John Pope, and developed in the 1920's, this place is a true gem. Full of charm and character, it is architecturally made up of bungalows, american four squares, stately colonials, english tudors, and spanish colonial revival style homes. Bellevue is centrally located in the heart of Richmond, and offers a great balance of city & suburb.

Bon Air Living

Founded in the late 1870s by a group of Civil War veterans, Bon Air was upper-class Richmond's summer hideaway. Year-round residents built ornate Victorian cottages with floor-to-ceiling windows and sprawling porches. These houses still stand along the main roads in the historic district and bear the names of their original owners. Bon Air is a tight-knit community that's deeply invested in preserving its history. The Bon Air Historical Society holds an annual Victorian Day Festival and Parade each May. Curator: Shannon Harton
